July 31, 2016 is FILIPINO MISSION SUNDAY

On July 9, 2016, Bishop Edwin dela Peña, MSP, DD of the Prelature of Marawi made a passionate appeal to the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines during their Plenary Assembly that was held at Pope Pius XII Catholic Center, Manila.

The purpose of the said appeal was to update the Bishops regarding the current state and missions of the Mission Society of the Philippines. Bishop dela Peña also took this opportunity to encourage the Bishops to fully support the Filipino Mission Sunday in order to help the MSP raise funds to build a new seminary in Tagaytay City.

The Mission Society of the Philippines being the official missionary arm of the Catholic Church of the Philippines urges all the Filipino Catholics to support the MSP’s missionary activity with one’s prayers and financial offerings especially this coming Filipino Mission Sunday on July 31, 2016.
