Filipino Mission Sunday 2019

Every last Sunday of July, the Roman Catholic Church in the Philippines celebrates Filipino Mission Sunday. It is a Sunday of thanksgiving, an expression of the collective gratitude to God for the gift of faith received through the effort of missionaries. It is also a Sunday of promoting missionary awareness, reminding the faitfhul of their missionary calling as baptised, asking the them to pray for missionaries, especially the missionary priests of the Mission Society of the Philippines. The faithful is also encouraged to pray for more missionary vocations and to appeal to their generosity to support the cause of the missions.

July 28, 2019 was a special day of communal effort in the many different parishes around the country, notably in promoting the Mission Society of the Philippines. The MSP thanks the many volunteers, the mission partners FMAA and FYM, the parish priests, and parish staff in the many parishes were the MSP were allowed to do mission campaign. May the good Lord reward them a hundredfold for their generosity.
