CENTRAL OFFICE PRIESTS AND STAFF GATHER FOR A CHRISTMAS PARTY

The priests and staff of the MSP Central Office got together for this year’s Christmas Party in the afternoon of December 14, 2007. The office staff includes Rochell Librorania, Jesus Dayot, Ruel Jumamoy, Gloria Nanagas and Emelie Camorongan of the MSP Bursar General’s office; Jeffrey Orense and Buenahija Brutas of the MSP Promotion office; and Djoanna Decena of the MSP Secretary General’s Office. Also present were the MSP Father Moderator, Fr Soc Mesiona; the MSP Bursar General, Fr Lads Oliver and the MSP Secretary General, Fr Pat Casino.

The gathering started with a personal sharing of what the year 2007 meant to each one. The employees were the first to share. Most of them have shared their joy of being included in the MSP family. Likewise, they were elated at how the quality of relationship developed and improved in the past year. Then it was the turn of the priests to share. The priests thanked the staff for their loyalty and dedication to their work. Fr Soc Mesiona was profoundly grateful to the office staff as they also play a crucial role in the MSP life, its day-to-day life. The Central Office, he said, “is the lifeblood of the MSP.” He was thankful for their dependability. Indeed, things went well even in times when the office priests had been absent: for reasons of attending some important gatherings, or visiting mission areas outside the country.

Then the traditional exchange of gifts ensued. The spirit of giving or sharing was buzzing. In fact, some people have given more. While priests prepared gifts for the staff, in return, some members of the staff also offered gifts for the three  priests present and the rest. It was an awe-inspiring sight. The enjoyment continued in the pantry where the simple meal or merienda was served. The food included three kinds of Filipino pancit (malabon, palabok, bihon), barbecue, peche-peche, pizza etc. Yes, it’s Christmas at the MSP Central Office.
