NewsFR JOSE NORELLA AND FR HAMILTON CRUZ LEAVE FOR JAPAN
A Mission Send-off ceremony was held on May 30, 2013 for the two new priests, Fr Jose Norella III and Fr Hamilton Cruz. It took place at the MSP Central House Chapel, and it was attended by some MSP priests.
Fr Norella then left for Japan last June 4, 2013. He joins Fr Randy Gumanit in the latter’s new place of assignment, that is, the Tomigaoka Church. This beautiful parish with a cozy a church and rectory, was intended by Bishop Paul Otsuka to be the official District House of the MSP in Kyoto diocese. The Marist Fathers used to administer this parish, and recently, it was vacated by them due to the lack of personnel.
Meanwhile, Fr Cruz left for Japan on June 10, 2013. He is joining Fr Rommel Cruz and Fr Nads Lumandas in the Diocese of Naha in Okinawa. He will first study the Japanese language before he is given a parish to administer.
