A BISHOP FROM SEYCHELLES VISITS THE MSP CENTRAL HOUSE

The Most Rev. DENIS WIEHE CSSp, bishop of the Diocese of Port-Victoria (capital of Seychelles), visited the MSP Central House on June 23, 2008 at 10:00 in the morning. Fr Pat Casino MSP welcomed and greeted the bishop, who came with a Filipino member of the Couples of Christ who has been based in Seychelles.
 
Bishop Wiehe is presently in the country because he attended an international conference of the Couples of Christ in Manila. He was one of the invited speakers in the gathering. He made the visit to the MSP Central House as part of his itinerary because he wanted to rekindle his invitation of the MSP to work in his diocese. Accordingly, his diocese has 18 priests working in 18 parishes: nine are diocesan priests and nine are religious missionaries. He wants to have more foreign missionaries work there.

After his visit, the bishop proceeded to Batangas City for a meeting with Archbishop Ramon Arguelles DD.
