FR. GLENN FLIES TO THE US, HIS NEW MISSION

THE SECOND MSP missionary to the North America has left last July 7, 2008. Fr Glenn Giovanni Jaron MSP will join Fr Alfie Africa in the new US mission in Sacramento, California. However, Fr Glenn first spends a few days in his former mission, Seoul (South Korea) for a medical check-up. He will proceed to the US on July 11, 2008.

In his farewell speech, Fr Glenn shared that his stay in the MSP Central House in the past few months proved to be fruitful because it gave him the opportunity to get closer once again to the MSP, the MSP community. He missed this in the last fifteen years. He was also grateful to have been given the chance to work in the US in the name of the Philippine Catholic Church and the MSP.

On his part, the MSP Father Moderator, Fr Soc Mesiona MSP, relayed the reason for the opening of the mission in the American soil. At the same time, he reminded Fr Glenn to be “sensitive” to the situation and needs of the Church in the US. Accordingly, he should be part of the healing of the wounds in the wake of the scandals that took place there.
