THE BISHOP OF AUCKLAND DIOCESE VISITS THE MSP CENTRAL HOUSE

THE MOST REV PATRICK DUNN DD, bishop of the Diocese of Auckland (New Zealand) has visited the MSP Central House on July 29, 2008. The bishop has been in the country to witness the thanksgiving mass of a Filipino priest who is recently ordained, Fr Gilbert (from Bulacan), and is now incardinated in his diocese.

His Eminence, Gaudencio Cardinal Rosales, the archbishop of Manila, also came. The good cardinal was the host of the visiting bishop. Other visitors included Msgr Brian Arahill (of the Auckland diocese), Fr Ruben Elago MSP (an MSP missionary in Auckland) and a few Auckland-based Filipinas.

Fr Soc Mesiona, the MSP Father Moderator, prepared a sumptuous lunch for the important guests. The MSP members present were: Frs Pat Casino, Lads Oliver, Toto Dujali, Dong Marcaida, Rev Arvin Mosqueda, and Sem. Noel Corcino.

The meeting was also an opportunity to listen to and discuss with the bishop the present mission, as well as the future prospects of the MSP mission in his diocese. Before the guests left,  Fr Soc handed a simple gift to Bp Dunn and to Msgr Arahill.
