FR. DONG MARCAIDA LEAVES FOR HIS NEW POST

FR. DONG MARCAIDA flew to his new assignment, the Cook Islands, via Auckland, New Zealand last Monday, September 15, 2008. Joining with him was seminarian Noel Corcino who will spend a two-year Overseas Training Program (OTP) in Auckland.
 
On his farewell mass, Fr Dong shared some of the anxieties that he felt now that he was to embark on his journey. However, he was also hopeful because there have been good things that he expects on his new mission assignment. Sem. Noel Corcino thanked the MSP for giving him an opportunity to experience foreign mission during his formative years. Fr Soc expressed his appreciation to the two missionaries, especially to Fr Dong, who did not show any hesitation to go to the Cook Islands.

Fr Dong will stay in Auckland for about two weeks after which he will proceed to the Cook Islands. His specific assigned parish is located in the island of Atiu in the Cooks. Good luck , Fr Dong!
