Filipino Mission Sunday 2023

FILIPINO MISSION SUNDAY

Every last Sunday of July, the Catholic Church in the Philippines celebrates 'Filipino Mission Sunday,' as a day of thanksgiving to God for the gift of faith that Filipinos received from the missionaries who came to the Philippines. It is a day of honoring all the efforts of our missionaries in proclaiming the Gospel to other nations. By virtue of one's baptism, all are called to be missionaries. Thus, all are invited to take part of the mission by offering prayers for missionaries, supporting vocations to the missionary priesthood, and giving material support to the MSP.

This year's theme, "Filipino Missionaries; Go forth and make disciples!" (Mt. 28:18-20) is an invitation for Filipinos to deepen the missionary spirit and become frontliners in proclaiming the Gospel.
