News10th MSP General Assembly
The MSP Priest Delegates recently finished their retreat as part of the 10th MSP General Assembly activities. The retreat facilitator was Bishop Socrates Mesiona, MSP, Apostolic Vicar of Puerto Princesa. Bishop Mesiona shared the importance of the MSP's charism, the gift of faith lived and shared by MSP missionaries, and the goodness of God that elicits a response of love and gratitude.
We would kindly ask the readers to please include the delegates in your prayers as they ask the guidance and inspiration of the Holy Spirit especially as they embark on this two-week long gathering.
Every five years the MSP holds a General Assembly. Delegates from the different MSP mission Districts and offices come together to pray, discuss, discern, and decide for the Society’s direction in the next five years. The General Assembly also elects a Father Moderator and his General Council who will help him administer the Society. There are four elected general council members who will serve as Deputy Father Moderator, Secretary General, Bursar, and Council Member.
