CHRISTMAS PARTY AT THE MSP SEMINARY

THIS YEAR’S MSP Christmas Party was held at the MSP seminary in Tagaytay City last December 13, 2008. Those who joined the gathering were MSP priests from the Central House, POLA, Davao, Cebu, and the seminary; the MSP Central Office staff, and the MSP personnel from the Central House and the seminary.

The gathering began with an hour long reflection given by Fr Regie Lavilla, the Director of the Scholasticate. He dwelt on the theme on “conversion” which is part and parcel of our preparation for the coming of Christ this Christmas. The Holy Eucharist was presided by Fr Gerome Hernandez, who also celebrated his 12th Sacerdotal anniversary on that day. The homilist was Fr Pat Casino, who gave his reflections on the choice theme for the gathering: “Isang Pamilya, Isang Pasko, Isang Pagdiriwang” (One Family, One Christmas, One Celebration).

The MSP priests who joined were Frs Soc Mesiona (the MSP Father Moderator), Resti Galang, Pat Casino, Tophie Amoroso, Eric Galo, Jun Tacaisan, Rey Getalado, Aqui Tabamo, Sonny Cantillano, Mars Rosales, Freddie Dizon, Tonton Arnaiz, Gerome Hernandez, Regie Lavilla, Carmelo Horlador, Mario Tejada, and Elmer Dimarucut. Revs Arvin Mosqueda and Percy Singco were also present.

The seminary community prepared a lavish meal. Then a three-hour organized joy or program ensued. There were singing of Christmas carols, parlor games, and of course, a traditional exchange of gifts. Fr Soc Mesiona, the MSP Father Moderator, also gave his Christmas message to the MSP family.
