FIL-MISSION SUNDAY CELEBRATION

The annual Fil-Mission Sunday (FMS) was celebrated last July 26, 2009. The team of MSP Promotion Directors spearheaded the event. The celebration kicked off with a Holy Eucharist celebrated on July 25, 2009 at 6:00 p.m. at the Parish of Our Lady of the Abandoned (POLA), during which the MSP Father Moderator, Fr Alfie Africa MSP, was the main celebrant. 

In Manila, the Fil-Mission Auxiliary Association (FMAA) organized a Basic Mission Orientation (BMO) at POLA which was attended by a number of new recruits to the organization. The official commissioning was held within the July 25, 2009 mass. The FMAAs, together with the POLA volunteers, and the MSP seminarians, went to fourteen parishes in the Dioceses of Cubao, Novaliches, Pasig, and the Archdiocese of Manila for the usual mission promotion and appeal. Thanks to Fr Arvin Mosqueda MSP, the Assistant Mission Promotion Director for Luzon, who led the FMS activities.

The same thing happened in Cebu. Fr Eric Galo MSP, the Assistant Mission Promotion Director for the Visayas, also organized the missionary promotion and appeals to different parishes in Cebu City. He was assisted by the MSP priests assigned in Cebu and the FMAA members in the area.

In Mindanao, Fr Percy Singco MSP, the Assistant Mission Promotion for Mindanao, organized FMS activities in Davao City. He was aided by Fr Jun Tacaisan MSP, Fr Nilo Pacuribot MSP and Fr Toto Dujali MSP, as well as the ever active and committed members of the FMAA in Davao.
