The MSP Mission in Naha, Okinawa, Japan inaugurated its District House last November 11, 2012. After constructing and inaugurating the Yomitan Catholic Church, Fr Rommel Cruz , an MSP missionary in Okinawa, ventured into another project, the MSP District House.

The activity was graced by His Excellency, Most Rev Berard Oshikawa, OFM Conv, the bishop of Naha. Immediately after the celebration of the Holy Eucharist, the bishop blessed the house. Those MSP priests who attended the historic event were Fr Alfredo Africa MSP (Father Moderator), Fr Patrick Casino MSP (Secretary General),  Fr Socrates Mesiona MSP (PMS National Director), and Fr Randy Gumanit MSP (Kyoto Mission). Likwise, two POLA parishioners, Mr and Mrs Rolando Legaspi, went to witness the inauguration.

There were other activities before the house blessing. Fr Cruz organized a sort of recollection and a Franciscan priest was invited to give a talk on mission. Other speakers were Fr Cruz, and Bishop Oshikawa. Within the celebration of the Eucharist, there was a wedding ceremony for five couples.

The celebration was well attended by other priests in the diocese, sisters, and parishioners, both Japanese and foreigners.
