In Memoriam, Rev. Fr. Roberto Ruben Cavite Elago, MSP 1948-2023

Fr. Ruben Elago, was on his scheduled vacation in the Philippines when he was found lifeless in his bedroom. He had plans of visiting his hometown in Lagonglong and Cagayan de Oro, Auckland, New Zealand, and Sydney, Australia, flying back to his mission assignment with the Filipino Chaplaincy in Montreal, Canada. Fr. Ruben recently turned 75, and was planning to celebrate his 75th birthday with celebrations together family and friends. His death is mourned by many people all over the world, especially, those whose lives he touched by his genuine faith, shepherding gifts of accompaniment, compassion, and love, but most of all his friendliness and generosity. He will be surely missed. His famous joyful and sunny disposition will be missed. Fr. Ruben, rest in the Lord. Please pray for us.

Please pray for the eternal repose of the soul of Fr. Ruben Elago, MSP. He will be buried on February 11, 2023, 9.00 am, Saturday at the Oro Gardens, Lumbia, Cagayan de Oro City.
